Mya Love Griesbaum — HTGAA Spring 2026

About me

Whether I’m working in a lab or hiking on a trail, I strive to deepen my connection to nature, and this course is another way to strengthen that bond! As an inhabitant of Earth, I’m a fierce advocate for this planet and love investigating ways to understand, work alongside, and protect it. Through my biomaterials concentration in Materials Science and Engineering at Georgia Tech, I’ve conducted mycoremediation research in depolluting aquatic environments with one of nature’s best cleaners: fungi. By crafting alongside designers, I’ve been able to grow, process, and sew biomaterials into garments worn down the runway (mycelium dresses and scoby hats included). And, hopefully by taking this class, I’ll be given new vocabulary and tools to biologically express my ideas, whether artistically or analytically, and further my mission of fostering my relationship with nature.
