Victoria Simmons — HTGAA Spring 2026

About me
Hello, everyone! My name is Victoria and I currently work as a biologist supporting a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) federal contract, performing screening for biological agents and chemical threats. My background is in biological sciences and marine ecosystems and society, transitioning to focus on the biodefense sphere in 2021.
I am always interested to learn more about the new and emerging technologies that may propel humanity into the future and how these technologies may present both solutions and newer threats or challenges to national security and defense.
