About Me

Hi, I’m Bilal Yaseen, a senior-year biology undergraduate student (B.S. Molecular Biology w/ a minor in Chemistry & in Bio-informatics) at San José State University! The topic of bio-manufacturing is incredibly fascinating & there’s so much to say, but the long & short of it is in my opinion the future of industry—from computing to pharmaceuticals, to materials, etc.—& these industrial innovations are so interesting and important not only from a scientific and technological perspective, but from the perspective of a green and bright future for us all. Just as electrification was the great harbinger of the future before, bio will be today (the quote is related to the cover painting)

" A cry went up in the airy solitude of the high plains: ‘Let’s Murder the moonlight!’ Some ran to nearby cascades; gigantic wheels were raised, and turbines transformed the rushing waters into magnetic pulses that rushed up wires, up high poles, up to shining, humming globes. So it was that three hundred electric moons canceled with their rays of blinding mineral whiteness the ancient green queen of loves."
