Emma Briones Riquelme — HTBAA Fall 2026

About me

Emma Briones Riquelme

I am Emma Briones Riquelme, an architect from Chile and a master’s student in Sustainable Habitat and Energy Efficiency at Universidad del Bío-Bío.

My work explores the relationship between architecture, circular materials, and biomanufacturing. I am currently developing Claris, a project that transforms post-consumer textile waste and biobased polymers into modular panels for non-structural interior applications.

Through How to Biomanufacture Almost Anything, I want to better understand living systems and explore how microbial fabrication can contribute to the development of new materials for energy efficiency, indoor comfort, and climate-resilient architecture.
