I completed my graduate studies from MGM Institute of Biosciences, receiving a Master’s degree in Biotechnology. I also hold a postgraduate diploma in Clinical Research. I have worked on research projects in reproductive, maternal and child health on finding biomolecular markers for preducting ovarian response in women undergoing FSH hormone stimulation, managed a clinical trial site as part of a global clinical trial on gestational diabetes and PCOS and evaluated efficacy of antiviral drugs for paediatric encephalitis viruses. Recently, I have been based at the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India as a consultant in strategizing science and policy communications, outreach and public engagement. I aspire to become a genetic designer and science writer.

Week 1 HW: Final Project Ideas

Biomanufacturing Programmable Platform for mRNA Therapeutics (1) What you would like to biomanufacture and why? Chandipura virus is an emerging viral pathogen associated with encephalitic disease, particularly affecting children in parts of India. The viral glycoprotein G is an envelope protein involved in viral attachment and entry and is therefore an important antigenic component of the virus.

Final Project
