About me
I am Niraj, a “Researcher turned Entrepreneur” and currently Co-founder of Cell Forge Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in India, where we are reimagining how complex proteins are manufactured. After working with bacteria, yeast, hydra, mammalian and insect cells, silkworms, C. elegans, and rodents, I became fascinated by an overlooked microorganism called the ciliate—and its potential to become a biological factory to turn that idea into a scalable manufacturing platform. I am trying to bring together biology, automation, and engineering.
Outside of building Cell Forge, I spend much of my free time volunteering in science education and mentorship. I have mentored students through programs such as the IYNA Brain Bee Bootcamp, IDEATHON, and Neuromatch Academy, helping young researchers explore science, research, and career opportunities. Even while building a company, I enjoy giving back to the scientific community.
