Final Project

From microbial discovery to automated production

Status: proposed project.

I want to manufacture a living microbial crop-protection inoculant and build an automated workflow that measures whether each batch remains viable and biologically active.

The project connects MAIA, my system for discovering beneficial microorganisms, with Athanor, my system for automated production. I would begin with a characterized research reference and use the resulting workflow to evaluate additional candidates.

Intended deliverables

  • Three independent, characterized research batches of a single-strain liquid inoculant.
  • A repeatable workflow for preparation, production records, and quality measurements.
  • A dataset linking exact strain identity, production conditions, viable output, and retained biological activity.

The initial work would establish repeatability and measurement quality. A second strain comparison and calibrated optical monitoring are possible extensions.
