About me
I’m a research assistant in Prof. Alexey Terskikh’s lab at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research in Perth, Australia, where I work on ImAge, an imaging-based measure of epigenetic age. Day to day that means isolating nuclei from mouse tissue, immunostaining histone marks such as H3K27me3 and H3K27ac, and running high-content imaging in 384-well plates, with the image analysis on an HPC cluster.
I came to this from a Master’s in Synthetic Biology at UWA.
What draws me to biomanufacturing is the gap between measuring and making. I can measure epigenetic state at single-nucleus resolution with reasonable precision, and I have almost no controlled way to perturb it. The automation side interests me most: using an imaging readout not as a quality check at the end of a process, but as the thing that decides what gets built next.
