How to Biomanufacture (Almost) Anything — Fall 2026
Pharmacy student @ German University in Cairo
Welcome to my portfolio for How to Biomanufacture (Almost) Anything (HTBAA).
This site documents my homework, experiments, design ideas, and projects throughout the Fall 2026 course—exploring how genetic engineering, synthetic biology, cell-free systems, biomolecular design, and biomanufacturing can combine to create new biological technologies.
About me
I am a PharmD student at the German University in Cairo (GUC) interested in the intersection of pharmacy, synthetic biology, chemical biology, and biological engineering.
Design Philosophy
My interest in biology began when I learned about recombinant DNA technology being used to synthesize insulin, it was at that point where biology was no longer something to be observed, but something to create and engineer.
HTBAA is helping me explore how biological components can be assembled into systems that perform useful functions—from sensing molecules to manufacturing them.
