Wahid Ameur — HTBAA Fall 2026

About me
I am a data scientist and artist based in Paris, working across computation, machine learning, experimental sound, and material systems.
My practice and research interests explore how physical and biological processes can become part of computational and artistic systems, with a particular interest in experimental sound, sensing, living materials, and forms of matter that transform over time.
Through HTBAA, I want to develop a deeper understanding of biomanufacturing and synthetic biology, and explore how living systems can be used not only to produce functional materials, but also to create new media for artistic and sonic experimentation.
My current project investigates whether microorganisms could manufacture a magnetic biomaterial capable of storing and reproducing sound.
