About me

Second-year Biology student, University Ambassador, and researcher based in Baghdad, studying at the American University of Iraq – Baghdad (AUIB), with an interest in genetics, synthetic biology, and scientific collaboration. I currently serve as a Laboratory Assistant across two campus laboratories and as a Teaching Assistant, with hands-on experience supporting university lab workflows.

I’m also involved in global research, co-authoring and coordinating pre-registered epidemiological research developed with UMass Chan Medical School, the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, and Oxford’s Pandemic Sciences Institute. On a mission to advance biotechnology in the region, our team is building Iraq’s first Synthetic Biology community as we work toward becoming an official HTGAA node. Through HTGAA, we’re expanding our technical foundation and connecting with the global community to bring cutting-edge bio-design and collaborative science to Iraq. I welcome collaborations and opportunities within genetics, biosynthetics, bioengineering, biomanufacture, and related fields.
