In CFPS, transcription and translation occur outside living cells, which makes the reaction highly tunable and well suited to rapid, automated screening.
This connects closely with my current research on mycelium–AgNP biomanufacturing. Although the products are different, both systems involve the same general challenge: understanding how reaction or process conditions influence kinetics, structure, function, and overall process efficiency.
